Dog Behaviour Work
A dog behaviour consultation is beyond normal dog training issues. These behaviours are more complex and often cause us to struggle to enjoy and relax with our dogs. These issues can be inherited, learned, breed related or because we have a rescue dog.
Issues I can help with include fearful behaviour, separation anxiety, excessive barking, dogs displaying aggression to other dogs, dogs displaying aggression to humans, guarding and many more.
My Experience
I offer this service because after training with The Company of Animals in Chertsey, with leading dog behaviourist Dr. Mugford, I then went on to work with Hearing Dogs for the Deaf. At this time, Hearing Dogs for the Deaf was working with breed donated dogs and rescue dogs that often needed assessing and re-training. I then went on to work independently with dogs in and around the Herfordshire area and worked entirely on behaviour problems in pet dogs.
How does it work?
You need to apply with an initial phone call to ascertain if it is a behaviour or training issue and the basics. Then I will come to your home and offer you a behavioural consultation lasting up to 2 hours. During this time, I will work with your dog on the behaviour that is the problem to overcome it. I use ethical and efficient, positive methods and I use specialist equipment and have my own dog, whom I can use to work on specific issues. I will structure a behaviour plan that will be tailored to your dog's needs.
I send you a behaviour report and follow up with phone calls and email support.
For very complex behavioural issues extra consultations are often advisable and you can opt for these to assess your dog's progress and for additional changes that may be needed.

Initial Dog Behaviour Package
£150
This starts with a phone call to go over your needs and to book a session.
I will then offer a consultation in your home lasting 1-2 hrs.
We will work with your dog on the specific behaviour issues you identify.
I will send you a full behaviour report after the consultation outlining how we worked together on the day as well as ways to move forward.
This package includes follow up phone calls and emails.
Many people feel they need more than one session to assess the dog's progress or to move forward with other issues. Follow up training and consultations are £75.00 for 1 hour.
Intermediate Dog Behaviour Package
£250
This starts with a phone call to go over your needs and to book a session.
I will then offer a consultation in your home lasting 1-2 hrs.
We will work with your dog on the specific behaviour issues you identify.
I will send you a full behaviour report after the consultation outlining how we worked together on the day as well as ways to move forward.
With this package you also benefit from a 1 hour in person follow up session to work on the behaviour issues and training.
This package includes follow up phone calls and emails.
£300.00
Advanced Dog Behavior Package
This starts with a phone call to go over your needs and to book a session.
I will then offer a consultation in your home lasting 1-2 hrs.
